To address the challenges posed by rapid enrolment growth, to deliver on our commitment of providing quality education, and to alleviate pressures on campus resources and the communities we serve, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ has made the difficult decision to cancel 8 programs previously scheduled to begin in January 2024.
These are not decisions the College takes lightly. We recognize the hopes students place on their education, and to every extent possible we have identified options to support students in pursuing their education at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in the future.
As a result of this decision, projected enrolment for January has been reduced to a level that we believe the College and our communities will be better positioned to support. It is important to note that programs in priority occupational sectors facing critical shortages, such as health care and trades, were not impacted by these decisions.
We remain committed to addressing labour shortages, increasing educational attainment, and upskilling New Brunswick’s workforce through strategic enrolment management. We are currently reviewing our enrolment strategies, admissions processes, and student services to ensure we are well positioned for continued responsible and sustainable enrolment that supports our students, staff, and the communities we serve.
